Description

BridgeValley Community and Technical College invites applications for adjunct (part-time) positions to serve in the Academic Affairs Division. These individuals will be responsible for the instruction of credit courses and clinicals; and maintaining lab equipment/areas as assigned. These positions will also be responsible for instruction of accelerated courses when applicable.

The standard rate of pay per credit hour is $660.

Examples of Duties

•Instruct credit courses by identifying learning outcomes/competencies, developing lesson plans, syllabi and curriculum which establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects
•Complete required recordkeeping and grade entry for assigned courses
•Stay in communication with assigned Department Chair and Dean
•Participation in teaching courses
•Evaluation of student achievement
•Development of curriculum, policy and procedures
•Assessment of program outcomes

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; Master’s preferred
•Two or more years of recent healthcare related experience relevant to course taught
•MLT or MLS Certifications
•Demonstrate adequate knowledge and proficiency in their content areas
•Demonstrate the ability to teach effectively at the appropriate level


Preferred
•Teaching experience
•Aptitude for using technology and innovative methods for instructional delivery
