Are you passionate about cellular diagnostics and quality patient care? Interpath Labs is expanding into the Midwest and we’re seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist to join our team and play a vital role in detecting disease at the cellular level. This is an opportunity to help get a brand new lab up and running, with amazing administrative support.  You will have a chance to make a measurable difference in patient outcomes while working in a supportive, science-driven environment.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Screen gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides with precision using both standard and computer-assisted microscopy.

  • Identify abnormal or malignant findings accurately, following Bethesda guidelines.

  • Ensure quality through departmental procedures, Pap Proficiency testing, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Participate in research projects, instrument validations, and the integration of new technologies.

  • Collaborate with pathologists and lab professionals to deliver reliable, timely results.

  • Dedication to maintaining high professional standards, confidentiality, and teamwork.
  • Work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime offered.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology.

Licensure/Certification: ASCP certification or equivalent required.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Cytotechnologist as well as strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

 

General Physical Requirements

Regularly exposed to infection by handling potentially infectious samples.

Typically Stands for extended period of times.

Lift up to 25 pounds.

Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis.

Wearing appropriate protective gear: Lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield.

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
