The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed\:  

Minimum qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biological Sciences. 

• Successful completion of a 12-month Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Cytotechnology program.

• 1+ years' experience. 

• American Society for Clinical Pathology 

Preferred qualifications\:  

• One to three years of experience

• ThinPrep Imager experience

The role you’ll contribute\:  

Cytotechnologist performs anatomical pathology procedures as certified. Requires the exercise of independent judgement under minimum supervision. Work customarily involves procedures, cytopreparation and slide screening, which require a high degree of theoretical and practical knowledge, and expertise in a certified area. 

The value you’ll bring to the team: 

• Performs microscopic examination of both non-gynecologic and gynecologic specimens for evidence of precancerous lesions, cancer, inflammatory processes, organisms and other pathological conditions.

• Enters diagnosis into the LIS system.

• Tracks daily slide screening and other cytology QA/QC.

• Processes gynecologic, non-gynecologic & fine needle aspiration (FNA) specimens.

• Assists pathologists on FNA/core biopsy (ROSE) procedures in special radiologic settings.
