Position Summary:<\/b>

The Revenue Cycle Specialist will manage and work with our organization's revenue cycle operations and be responsible for working with the entire revenue cycle process from patient registration through final payment collection, ensuring maximum revenue capture while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements.

Revenue Cycle Operations Management<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance carriers and government payer.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of remittances received from insurance carriers and government payers.
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Financial Analysis and Reporting<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Monitor aging reports and implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Collaborate with finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities
      <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Compliance and Quality Assurance<\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other relevant healthcare regulations
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines (ICD -10, CPT, HCPCS) and payer policies
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs for coding and billing accuracy
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Coordinate with compliance officers on audit preparations and responses
        <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        Payer Relations and Denial Management<\/b>
        <\/p>

        • Oversee denial management processes and appeal workflows
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Negotiate payment terms and resolve complex billing issues
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Stay current on payer policy changes and communicate impacts to relevant teams
          <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

          Requirements<\/h3>

          <\/div>

          Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)<\/b>
          <\/p>

          • 3 -5 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Thorough understanding of behavioral health organization business operations
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Proficiency in healthcare revenue cycle management
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting tools
            <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

            Preferred Qualifications<\/b>
            <\/p>

            • Experience with behavioral healthcare in NY preferred.
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Experience in a high volume billing environment
              <\/span><\/li><\/ul>
