Senior Medical Technologist [For Serving HA Staff Only]

Department/Cluster\: Department of Pathology, Kowloon East Cluster
Pay: HK$96,142 to HK$114,905 per month (including Monthly Allowance) [HGPS Pt 34-39] per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out laboratory management duties, including human resources, budget forecasting and control, and procurement in the Clinical Laboratory.
2. Oversee a network of related medical laboratories.
3. Plan and monitor new services and innovative initiatives.
4. Evaluate and implement new methodologies and instruments.
5. Maintain, monitor, and enhance the quality and safety standards of laboratory services.
6. Train and supervise medical laboratory technical staff.
7. Coordinate clinical training programs for students from academic institutions.

Entry Requirements:
1.MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent; and

2. Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance. 
3.At least 7 years’ experience in Medical Technologist rank.

“Write an action plan for the implementation of smart initiatives over the next three years in the Clinical Pathology Department.”
