Laboratory Technician

We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician for one of our divisions that will be based at our clients premises in Wadeville

• Perform routine analysis of raw materials and finished products.

• Conduct routine inspections on packaging materials, packing machines and packaging lines.
•  
• Carry out routine analysis on in-process samples and recommend adjustments based on results.
•  
• Capture information on LIMS (Laboratory Information and Management System) from inspections for statistical analysis and quality control and generate relevant reports.
•  
• Ensure the manufacture and packing of product conforms to set standards during shifts.
•  
• Prepare and standardise laboratory reagents.
•  
• Analyse market samples, product trial, customer complaints and investigations.
•  
• Adherence to GMP and Good Housekeeping.
•  
• Take corrective and preventive actions whenever necessary during execution of duties which may involve reporting problems to the Supervisor to ensure proper and correct handling of non-conformances.

• Diploma in Analytical Chemistry and/or BSc in Chemistry preferably Analytical Chemistry.

• 2-3 years’ relevant experience as Laboratory Technician in a manufacturing company.

• Have a basic understanding of manufacturing principles.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Possess IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Be able to work in shifts.
