Job Summary
Manages the Dan T. Moore ( DTM ) Makerspace Laboratory. Serves as a resource to students, faculty, and staff by providing instructional, technical, and administrative support. Works to support the development of projects to enhance curricular needs. Develops and manages annual budget for the lab. Works with other Cleveland State University ( CSU ) colleges to guide and integrate the labs resources for their needs. Coordinates partnerships with select community non-profits. Collaborates with peers at other universities and community makerspace staff to share information and continuously improve on best practices. Manage the incorporation of undergraduate introductory engineering courses into the use of the DTM . Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering or engineering technology discipline. Four (4) years of work experience in an industrial or educational setting with demonstrated emphasis on engineering or technological laboratory teaching or management. Supervisory and training experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, engineering education, business, or related field. Knowledge and experience in website management, preparing and submitting funded proposals, and in project fundraising. Broad community involvement, including K-12 education outreach.
