- Carry out routine and specialized laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, serology, and other assigned units.
- Ensure accurate sample collection, labeling, processing, analysis, and result interpretation.
- Validate and release test results in line with laboratory SOPs and quality standards.
- Conduct daily QC checks, equipment calibration, reagent preparation, and instrument maintenance.
- Monitor stock levels of reagents and consumables; escalate shortages proactively.
- Maintain strict compliance with ISO 15189, internal QMS, biosafety, and HSE guidelines.
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs (EQA/IQA).
- Troubleshoot analytical issues and ensure minimal downtime of laboratory equipment.
- Document test results, QC logs, maintenance records, and incident reports accurately.
- Assist in training and mentoring interns, technicians, and new scientists.
- Provide excellent customer service to clinicians, patients, and partners based on scientific expertise.
- HND or BMLS / BSc in Medical Laboratory Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
- A minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) or Upper Credit is required.
- Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- 2–5 years post-NYSC experience in a medical diagnostics laboratory.
- Experience in one or more areas (Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular, Histopathology) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory tests, procedures, equipment handling, and analytical techniques.
- High accuracy, attention to detail, and quality-driven mindset.
- Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and digital reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
