Our state-of-the-art Comprehensive Cancer Center delivers personalized, effective cancer care in a compassionate, community-based environment where patients truly come first.


We are currently seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting clinical operations in a fast-paced oncology setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood collection with a high level of skill, care, and professionalism
  • Provide appropriate post-care to phlebotomy sites and ensure patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare and process specimens accurately and safely for laboratory analysis
  • Maintain positive patient identification and proper specimen labeling at all times
  • Perform order entry and verify patient collection data, special instructions, and notations
  • Collaborate with coworkers to prioritize and complete specimen collection efficiently
  • Adhere to standard precautions, infection control policies, and proper isolation techniques

Requirements


Education/Training/Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy, specimen handling, central processing or medical assisting is required
  • Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy or medical assisting program required
  • High School diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Above average communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple computer systems
