Behavior Interventionist, Don D. Sherrill Education Center, 8 hours
DDSEC is seeking a Behavior Interventionist Technician to work with students individually and in small groups. The candidate needs to possess a desire to work with students who may demonstrate behavioral and cognitive challenges. The Behavior Interventionist provides assistance to the staff to address and maintain appropriate student behavior. The person may also assist in other areas of instruction, recreation, classroom organization and general supervision of students. All activities are performed under the direction and supervision of the building administrators and classroom teachers.
A strong candidate for this position would have experience working with children with behavioral issues, disruptive and/or at risk youth and must have the ability to create strong positive relationships with students, staff, and families, demonstrates effective communication/crisis intervention/resolution/mediation skills, as well as understands and applies the practices of cultural proficiency with students, staff and families.
Hourly Pay Rate $22.75
Work Days M-F
