Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Description

Join our dedicated hospital team in Franklin, TN as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). In this full-time role, you will perform essential diagnostic testing that directly supports patient care and clinical decision-making. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and high-quality service in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and related laboratory disciplines.
- Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure consistent accuracy and performance.
- Collect and process biological specimens in accordance with strict safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Accurately analyze, interpret, and document test results in a timely manner.
- Adhere to quality control procedures and maintain organized, compliant records.
- Assist with updates, improvements, and implementation of lab policies and procedures.
- Maintain full compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to provide timely and reliable diagnostic support.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for charting and reporting.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to remain current with evolving laboratory practices and technology.

Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP or AMT (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and EMR system proficiency.
