Job Description

The Infection Prevention RN will serve in an advisory capacity within an acute care setting, focusing on infection control and prevention measures. The candidate must be certified as an Infection Control Specialist (CIC) and possess acute care hospital experience in various service lines including surgery, NICU, cardiac, critical care, and emergency room settings.

Responsibilities

• Education and training regarding infection prevention practices.
• Monitoring and reporting infections in compliance with CDC guidelines.
• Rounding and implementing infection control policies.
• Utilizing data for trend identification and improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license (valid in WA or Compact) required at the time of submission.
• CIC certification in infection control is mandatory.
• A minimum of three years of acute care hospital experience.
