Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm or 9 am to 5 pm

Job Description

The Medical Lab Technician performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens in all sections of Clinical Laboratory Medicine. This role is integral to obtaining data crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Key responsibilities include performing various microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, or bacteriologic assays according to established standards, as well as calibrating and operating all instruments and equipment as per the preventive maintenance schedule.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Experience in Microbiology
• American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification
• Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC
• Bilingual in Spanish
