Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced laboratory testing under the guidance of the Medical/Laboratory Director and Laboratory Manager.
Ensure the quality and efficiency of testing across all areas of the laboratory, delivering excellence in patient care.
Guarantee patient safety with every test, handling specimens from neonates to geriatric patients.
Play a key role in the technical development, implementation, and integration of laboratory procedures and systems.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Oversee daily operations within your department to ensure efficiency and quality service.
Make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement within the laboratory.
Lead by example, providing guidance and support to both employees and customers.
Stay adaptable and ready to address new challenges with innovative solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (or related Health Science field).
Certification: Must be certified (registered) with an approved certifying agency such as ASCP, AAB, or AMT.
Licensing: Must hold a Louisiana State license as a CLS Generalist or CLS Technician.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively and foster team engagement.
Proactive mindset with a strategic approach to workflow and staffing optimization.
Excellent attention to detail with a keen ability to foresee and adapt to the company’s growing needs.
Strong communication skills, both internally and with external partners.
Ability to lift >35 lbs (with assistance).
